Where to Put Your Own Nose

Categories: Devotional,Acts

Why put your nose in the Bible? Why put it in a complicated book when it is easier to turn to the experts who can explain it to you?

Skilled authors offer good reflections. They can focus on a verse or two and add worthwhile instruction. But taking a pass on reading the Bible yourself is a recipe for missing the big picture of what it has to say. If a Christian does not know the story of the Bible, from the Book itself, they are probably in need of relocating their nose.

That is why Celebration’s website lays out a strategy for each person to read through the whole Bible in a year on their own— the New Testament and Psalms twice, and the remainder of the Bible once.

Doing this will give the best chance to develop a biblical theology that smells right.

So, do not hesitate to put your own nose in the “whole will of God” (Acts 20:27).

Now that’s something to celebrate!
